A high boutique concept in China and beyond, Lane Crawford is a symbol of the ever booming opulence of the Art and Fashion market in Asia. With the help of five international contemporary artists, Lane Crawford turned itself into a makeshift exhibition space showing in-store installations, live illustrations and artistic window display. Besides Shantell, the other participating artists were Japanese street artist Que Houxo aka Questa, Hong Kong-born designer and stylist Winnie Lui, Central St.

Martins graduate Jacky Tsai, and British graphic designer Mark Gross. Each was invited to create an artwork for the space. Shantell created a beautiful window installation in their stores across Hong Kong and Beijing, which was accompanied by live illustrations, where she drew on locally made ceramic bottles in a live interaction. Audiences were encouraged to ask questions, which were incorporated into the showmanship of the bottle’s drawings, which they could buy afterwards as a tangible memento.
